Davido, Wizkid, others to slug it out at MTV EMA awards

- Wizkid and Davido have been nominated in the best African act category at the MTV European Music Awards (EMA)
- They were nominated amongst other African stars
- Both stars were the only Nigerian musicians on the list 2017 is proving to be a year of amazing feats for Nigerian acts Wizkid and Davido.
The two have achieved quite a lot in the months that have gone by.
Davido has solidified his fan base in Nigeria with the release of chart topping songs If and Fall. Musicians on his record label especially Mayorkun are also doing well for themselves. Wizkid on the other hand has literally broken records with his international exploits. Most recently, he sold out a concert at the famous Royal Albert Hall in London.

As recognition of their actions, both stars have been nominated in the Best African act category at the 2017 edition of MTV European Music Awards (EMA). They were not the musicians nominated in the category. Babes Wodumo (South Africa), C4 Pedro (Angola), Nasty C (South Africa), and Nyashinski (Kenya) were also nominated. The award ceremony will be held in London on November 12, 2017.
