Edwin Van der sar explains how Ronaldo became better than Rooney

- Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney were signed by Sir Alex Ferguson
- Both Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney arrived in 2003 and 2004 respectively
- Ronaldo put in more work in training according to Edwin Van Der Sar
Former Manchester United shot stopper Edwin Van der sar has revealed how Cristiano Ronaldo became better than Wayne Rooney despite the Englishman earning better reviews at a young age
Both of them at time were among some of the brightest football talents in the world and while Rooney made an immediate impact, Ronaldo took a bit of time to make a big impact on the world stage.
Rooney had the world at his feet at 18 and was no surprise when he scored debut hat-trick vs Fernabache in the Champions League.
According to the Dutch veteran Van Der Sar: '"They both worked incredibly hard on the pitch, but Cristiano took it up a level."
The former Ajax goalkeeper told the November issue of FourFourTwo, "if the field, Ronaldo was also focusing on everything extensively, such as resting up properly and strengthening his body.'"
"After training sessions he would often work on his free-kicks and then come to me and say: "Edwin, can you go in goal?"
Van Der Sar added,"I'd say I was old so he would be better off using one of the youth-team keepers, but he would insist I went in goal as he wanted to score past me.
"I would tease him a lot and say things like: "You won't score against me, Ronnie, you know it. Ask the reserve goalie, that's better for your confidence.
"He'd get agitated and reply: 'No, no. You've got to go in goal.'"
Sir Alex Ferguson made perhaps the best signings of his illustrious United career in the summer of 2003 and 2004 when he signed Ronaldo and Rooney respectively in both summers.
While Ronaldo went on to become the best in the world and moved to Real Madrid to cement his legendary status, Rooney remained at United and became the club's highest goalscorer until he joined Everton last summer.

The Strange Obstacle Dave Bautista Had To Overcome Before He Was Cast In Blade Runner 2049

It's no secret that Hollywood has a tendency to dabble in ageism. After all, it's an industry obsessed with youth and beauty, and as a result actors often find themselves aging out of roles shockingly quickly. It's a problem that pretty much every performer faces at one point or another -- but what's kind of funny is that Dave Bautista had the complete opposite experience while going out for a part in  Blade Runner 2049 . Rather than being too old for the role that he wanted, he was repeatedly told that he was actually too young, and really had to fight as a result. Bautista recently told me, "The funny thing is that when I first met with Denis [Villeneuve]... because I wasn't originally asked to audition, I was actually asked to fly out and meet with Denis. And so I did; I was filming  Guardians 2 and I went out to meet with him. And we weren't very far in the conversation, like really not far in the conversation, when he said, 'I hate to tell you ...
